The World Nuclear Association
is pleased to announce its
34th Annual Symposium
Nuclear revival: building confidence at a time of economic instability
to be held 9-11 September 2009
at the Central Hall Westminster, London.
A nuclear revival is sweeping the world as concerns over climate change and security of energy supplies lead policymakers and industry worldwide to pay ever closer attention to the nuclear option. Simultaneously, the global economic climate is undergoing a process of radical change. What impact will the current financial turbulence have on the nuclear renaissance? The Symposium theme this year will reflect these challenges.
The WNA Symposium is the nuclear industry’s premier event - an annual conference attended by over 700 leaders and specialists from more than 30 countries. The Symposium brings together the nuclear industry and its major stakeholders to discuss the practicalities of a new nuclear generation.

Individual papers from the 33rd WNA Annual Symposium, held 3 to 5 September 2008, are available from the Previous Symposia section. A 2008 Symposium Pack (a bound brochure of all submitted papers and proceedings of the 2007 and previous Symposia on DVD) is also available to purchase in our e-shop. The official photographs from the WNA Symposium in 2008 and are available to download from our Online Photo Library.
