CALL FOR PAPERS

As WNA membership has grown to encompass almost every enterprise in the global nuclear industry, the Annual WNA Symposium has established itself as the industry’s premier international meeting, attracting an annual attendance of around 700 leaders and specialists from more than 30 countries. The Symposium is also attracting an increasing number of non-industry professionals who recognise nuclear power’s central importance in securing our global energy and environmental future.

The 2008 Symposium theme will be “Defining the Nuclear Future”. Symposium speakers will take a wide-ranging look at current industry developments and at the practical steps needed to guarantee and accelerate the nuclear renaissance.

Against this background, Papers are invited on the full range of issues relevant to the future of nuclear power. We will particularly welcome Proposals that discuss the practical measures needed to strengthen the foundations for industry growth, and also Proposals that demonstrate the progress already being made to achieve this.

To reflect the industry’s interest in revitalizing and expanding the cadre of committed nuclear professionals worldwide, we will particularly welcome Proposals from younger specialists.

In selecting Papers, we will give preference to those which treat issues generically, at the expense of those that seek primarily to advertise a company or its products.

How to Submit a Proposal

Proposals can be submitted on-line. An off-line proposal form is also available from that page.

In all cases, please include full contact details and a short (100 words) biography of the proposed presenter. Papers presented at the Symposium should be supported by a PowerPoint presentation. Proposals for Papers should be submitted by 7 May 2008, and the selection of Papers will be made by 30 May 2008. For proposals that are accepted, the deadline for submission of the full Paper will be 31 July 2008.

Further information about the Symposium and the requirements for presentations is available from the Symposium website or by contacting Adrian Collings.
