STRATFORD UPON AVON AND ANNE HATHAWAY’S COTTAGE

A full day trip to the quintessentially British town where Shakespeare was born. Set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside by the river Avon, Stratford is one of the main tourist destinations of the UK.

A coach will collect participants from outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel (45-51 Buckingham Gate) at 08:30 and head to Stratford, a journey of approximately 2 hours. On arrival, participants will be taken on a guided sightseeing tour. Thereafter there will be a tour of Anne Hathaway’s cottage. After the tour there will be some free time for lunch and to visit the town- Stratford has some lovely old pubs and delightful shops. Participants will be returned to the collection point at approximately 18:00, depending on traffic.

Anne Hathaway, the wife of William Shakespeare, was the daughter of a Yeoman farmer and grew up in this beautiful cottage. The oldest part of the cottage dates as far back as the 15th century and the property has remained in the family for several generations. It is now no longer a private residence and is open to the public for visits.

LONDON DUCK TOUR
Friday 17 September

The duck tour is a unique way to see London. An historical vehicle used for the D-Day landings of 1944 will take you on an exiting journey through the city by road and on water. You will ride past Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, not to mention the WNA offices on Pall Mall! On the River Thames, you will cruise past the MI6 building as well as other famous landmarks.

Participants will be collected from outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel (45-51 Buckingham Gate) at 10:00. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and will terminate back at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at about 11:30.
