GUEST TOURS
ARUNDEL CASTLE AND BOSHAM - Guest Tour 1
Thursday 10 September
“A full day trip through the English countryside, a private tour of the splendid Arundel Castle and some free time in Beautiful Bosham on the South Coast; what a way to spend a Thursday!”
A luxury coach will collect participants from meeting points at 08:00 and head South from London to Arundel Castle - a journey of approximately 2 hours duration. During the one hour private guided tour of the Castle, participants will visit state rooms and halls and view magnificent period paintings and furniture, tapestries, stained glass, china, and an impressive collection of heraldry and armour. At approximately 11:15, the Tour will re-board the coach for a 40 minute journey to the seaside village of Bosham.
Bosham is steeped in history and there are numerous small shops, pubs and restaurants – many of which line the quaint main street leading to the harbour. During the two hour stay in Bosham, Tour participants will be free to take lunch (not included in the Tour cost), enjoy a refreshing ale watching the boats, stroll along the quay, shop, or simply savour the atmosphere.
The coach will leave Bosham no later than 14:00 and return participants to the pick up points by approximately 16:30.
Tour cost: £45 per person (includes coach transport and private tour of Arundel Castle)
BEATLES MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR - Guest Tour 2
Friday 11 September
"The essential Tour for anyone who remembers the Beatles". P Best
"A useful insight for those who wish to find out more about the Fab Four". S Pepper.
Tour Participants will be collected from the lobby of the Rubens hotel at 09:30 and taken by coach to Soho Square to meet Richard Porter – one of the leading Beatles aficionados. Richard will lead the Tour and talk participants through the swinging 60s era in London while pointing out the Beatles’ haunts, the Apple offices (where the group played the famous 'rooftop session'); Paul McCartney's offices (where Paul can be seen occasionally); Abbey Road Studios and – of course - the famous Abbey Road zebra crossing (a classic photo opportunity). The walking element of the Tour will conclude at approximately 11:45 at the Beatles Coffee Shop, where a range of Beatles souvenirs and memorabilia is available for purchase.
Participants then have the choice to return by coach to the Rubens Hotel, or enjoy lunch in Richoux Restaurant (cost of lunch not included in the Tour price) and return on the second coach (leaving at 14:30) for the Rubens Hotel.
Please note that the Beatles Magical History Tour involves walking for approximately two hours (comfortable shoes are essential!) and it includes a short journey (approximately 10 minutes) on the London Underground.
Cost per person: £19 (Includes Guided walk and specific (single) ticket for use on London Undergound).
