World Nuclear Symposium
From Ambition to Action
9-11 September 2026
Hilton London Metropole, United Kingdom
As the Association marks its 25th anniversary, we are celebrating the individuals whose work has made sustained progress possible.
World Nuclear Association plans to present a special anniversary exhibition titled 25 Everyday Heroes of Nuclear.
This exhibition will recognise individuals whose dedication, expertise and professionalism have helped move the industry forward. They may be engineers delivering complex infrastructure, analysts shaping policy frameworks, communicators strengthening public understanding. They may be operators upholding the highest safety standards, or researchers, financiers, educators and project managers who have created tangible impact through consistent effort.
The heroes of nuclear may not all have been around for 25 years - but their contributions will have had a significant impact.
Each selected hero will be featured through a high resolution portrait, for display at World Nuclear Symposium 2026. Alongside the portrait will be a summary outlining what they have delivered and how their work has advanced the sector.
Because behind every innovation, construction milestone, safety improvement and strategic breakthrough are people.
We invite our members to nominate people from their workforce who have delivered meaningful impact in their roles. We are keen to represent diverse geographies and disciplines and celebrate people who embody the commitment and professionalism that underpin the industry’s progress.
Please download the brief here.
Nominations should be sent to: Cat Davies, External Campaigns and Communications Manager
Deadline for submissions is midnight BST, 31st July 2026.
For 25 years, World Nuclear Association has connected the global nuclear community, championing its role and advancing its growth. At World Nuclear Symposium 2026, we celebrate the people who have translated that shared mission into real-world progress.
From ambition to action.
From vision to delivery.
From 25 years of progress to the decades ahead.
