Due to a new payment policy this year we will only be accepting credit card payments. Thank you for your understanding.

Why did my payment fail?

Payment failures are most commonly due to issues with the cardholder's bank not approving the transaction. This is especially common with international cards and is often related to the 3D Secure verification process.

What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure is a security feature used by banks to help prevent fraud during online transactions. When you make a payment, your bank may ask you to verify your identity — for example, by entering a one-time password (OTP) sent to your phone or completing a security check via your banking app.

This process is sometimes called “Verified by Visa”, “Mastercard SecureCode”, or “American Express SafeKey”, depending on your card provider.

Why does 3D Secure matter?

If your payment fails, it's often because the 3D Secure check wasn’t completed successfully. This can happen if:

  • The OTP was not entered in time
  • The bank’s verification screen didn’t load properly
  • You didn’t receive or respond to your bank’s authentication request
  • Your bank declined the transaction due to local security rules or limits

What can I do to avoid this?

To help ensure your payment goes through smoothly:

  • Make sure your card is enrolled in 3D Secure with your bank
  • Have your phone or banking app ready to approve the transaction
  • Double-check that all card details are entered correctly
  • If you’re using an international card, ensure it is authorized for international or online purchases

If you continue to experience issues, we recommend contacting your bank directly for assistance.

You will need to provide your academic or government institution email address when registering for your package.

You must be under 30 years old at the time of the event to qualify for the young generation category. When registering you will be required to upload a copy of your passport for verification and bring valid ID when registering onsite.

For attendees whose registration includes the gala dinner (Full Package and Classic Symposium Package) detailed instructions on how to reserve your seat will be provided closer to the event date. Please be advised that seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We strongly recommend that you complete your seat reservation promptly upon receiving the instructions, as your place is not guaranteed without a confirmed seat reservation.

To celebrate the 50th edition of World Nuclear Symposium, this year the dress code is “formal attire black tie optional”. This includes suits, tuxedos, evening gowns, cocktail dress, smart shoes. We also encourage traditional formal wear.

Unfortunately, due to increased demand, we can no longer offer the opportunity for guest tickets to be purchased for the networking events.
