Nisha Pillai is an accomplished former BBC World News presenter who specialises in moderating Panel Discussions and High Level Dialogues. She works with UN agencies, scientific institutes like CERN, and at conferences in the Energy, Finance and tech sectors.

Nisha’s 25 year career at the BBC culminated as one of the main news anchors at BBC World News, where she reported extensively during the 9/11 attacks and the Iraq war. She was also one of the first regular interviewers on Hard Talk. As an award-winning investigative journalist at Panorama, the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme, Nisha had notable investigations to her name. She was awarded the Royal Television Society’s Award for her investigation into the late Robert Maxwell, which was broadcast a month before his death. Nisha cut her teeth as a financial journalist at the Investors Chronicle and on the BBC’s Money Programme. She read economics at the London School of Economics and has an abiding interest in economics.

Sama Bilbao y León is Director General of World Nuclear Association and also President of World Nuclear University. She has more than 20 years of diverse experience in nuclear engineering and energy policy; having worked with distinction in industry, academia and having held high level positions at OECD/NEA and IAEA. Sama holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Energy Technologies, as well as a  master's degree and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics and an MBA . Sama is one of founders of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). 

Johan Svenningsson serves as CEO and Country Chairman of Uniper Sweden since 2015. He holds the positions of CEO, COO, Chairman, Deputy Chairman and member of Boards of Directors across major Swedish energy and nuclear power groups and plants, including Sydkraft AB (Nuclear, Hydro-power and Thermal-power sections), the Swedish Nuclear Waste Management Company, and the Oskarshamn, Barsebäck, Ringhals and Forsmark nuclear power plants. He also is Governor in the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), chairs WANO Paris Centre as well as a board member in the World Nuclear Association (WNA).

Johan was previously CEO of OKG AB, deputy CEO at the Swedish Technical Research Institute AB, and he held different management positions within Westinghouse and ABB Nuclear and Pharmadule Emtunga. He also is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Swedish Energy Industry Employer Association. Johan holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Chalmers Institute of Technology, Sweden).

Born on 6 June 1966 in Afagnan, Togo, His Excellency Mister Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé was raised in a strict atmosphere that prioritised discipline, rigorous standards, high academic expectations and traditional values. A graduate of Paris Dauphine University in France and George Washington University in the United States, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé puts his management skills at the service of his country to steer it toward development and secure its rightful place in the international community. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé is the first President of the Council ever in Togo’s history. He is a politician and former President of the Republic. He assumed this new position on 3 May 2025, following the adoption of the new Constitution establishing a parliamentary system and marking Togo's entry into the Fifth Republic. Prior to assuming this distinguished office, he left an enduring legacy through his impactful stewardship at both the National Assembly’s Committee on Foreign Relations and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Mines and Telecommunications. Under his leadership, Togo has launched ambitious economic recovery projects driven by structural reforms. Through the consolidation of public finances, a steadfast commitment to anti-corruption, and the creation of a secure legal framework for investment, his administration has firmly entrenched good governance, transforming Togo’s economic performance into a benchmark of success across Africa. On the international scene, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé has earned Togo credibility and respect as a leading voice for peace, especially in mediating socio-political crises and armed conflicts across West Africa, the Sahel and the Great Lakes region. Outside of his demanding schedule, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé dedicates his time to reading and sports, with a particular fondness for walking

Mr. Dominguez assumed his role as tenth IMO Secretary-General on 1 January 2024, bringing with him more than three decades of experience serving the global maritime sector, across a spectrum of leadership roles of increasing scope and responsibility.

Initially representing his native Panama, first within the Panama Maritime Authority and in his lattermost appointment as Ambassador of Panama to IMO, his affinity for building consensus saw him elected by his peers as Chair of several flagship IMO intergovernmental meetings, including: the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), the Technical Committee of the 29th Assembly, and the Maritime Security, Piracy and Armed Robbery Group, as well as a number of Vice-Chair and Board member roles.

A naval architect at heart and by training, Mr. Dominguez gained his first degree at Veracruzana University, Mexico. Recognising from the outset of his career the importance of a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectorial approach to the maritime sector, Mr. Dominguez later went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Hull, as well as an executive qualification in International Law and European Politics at Birkbeck University, both in the United Kingdom.

This agile approach served him well in better understanding the priorities and navigating the needs of the different stakeholders across the maritime sector, and indeed the complexities of a specialized UN agency whose mission it is to support them. In 2017 Mr. Dominguez harnessed this extensive technical and diplomatic knowledge and experience as a delegate for the benefit of IMO. He joined the Organization, first as Chief of Staff, followed by Administrative Director - leading the Organization through the COVID-19 pandemic. Directly prior to his election in July 2023 as Secretary-General, he was the Director of the Marine Environment Division.

His initial term as IMO Secretary-General, approved at the 33rd Assembly in December 2023, is for a period of four years from 2024 to 2027.

Norman Foster is the founder and executive chairman of Foster + Partners, a global studio for  architecture, urbanism and design, rooted in sustainability. Major projects include Beijing Airport, Millau Viaduct in France, 30 St Mary Axe (also known as the Gherkin) and the Great Court at the British Museum in London, the Hearst Headquarters tower in New York, Apple Park in California, Bloomberg’s European Headquarters in London, the Comcast Tower in Philadelphia, and the Norton Museum of Art in Florida. Recent projects include Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh, 270 Park Avenue in New York and Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi. Some of his current projects within the practice include a new extension to the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts, the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Center in Cairo, and the Amaravati Masterplan in India. He is president of the Norman Foster Foundation, based in Madrid with a global reach, promoting interdisciplinary thinking and research to help new generations of architects, designers and urbanists anticipate the future. He became the 21st Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate in 1999. In 1997, he was appointed to the Order of Merit and in 1999 was granted a Life Peerage in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, taking the title of Lord Foster of Thames Bank.

In 2009, he became Marketing Director Central Europe & CIS.  In April 2011, Nicolas Maes joined the Areva group as Director of Operations for the Mining Business Unit. On June 1, 2014, he was appointed Director of Areva's Installed Base Business Unit (now part of Framatome). From February to October 2018, he headed Framatome's Operational Excellence and digital transformation program. In these roles, he was also a member of the Executive Committee.   

He joined Orano in November 2018 as Senior Executive Vice President of the Mining Business Unit and member of the Executive Committee. He had held the position of Chief Operating Officer of the group since May 2023 before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Orano group in November 2023.

Bernard Fontana holds a degree in engineering from the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées in Paris. 

He has begun his career in the chemicals (SNPE), steel (ArecelorMittal and APERAM) and construction materials sectors (Holcim). He was CEO of APERAM before being appointed CEO of Holcim on 1 February 2012.  

On 1 September 2015, Bernard Fontana has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AREVA NP. He was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Framatome (formerly AREVA NP) on 1 July 2016. 

He is also a Board member at Thales, SSAB, and at GIFEN Services after serving as its Chairman and CEO for 4 years, and has been a member of the Council of the French Nuclear Energy Industry Group GIFEN since its creation in 2018. He is a member of the High Committee for Transparency and Information on Nuclear Safety in France. On 1 April 2024, Bernard Fontana has been appointed Group Executive Vice-President in charge of the Industry and Services Division of EDF and in October 2024, Chairman of Arabelle Solutions. 

As of 5 May 2025 Bernard Fontana is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of EDF. 

Nicole Holmes leads the global sales, marketing, and contracts team along with licensing and regulatory affairs for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy. In this role, she heads the team responsible for customer relationships, deal creation, and customer-focused processes, including developing and implementing the business’ commercial strategy. Nicole is committed to GVH’s mission to provide carbon-free power to the world by innovating and advancing new nuclear while keeping the existing fleet safe and competitive.

Prior to taking her current role in summer 2020, she led strategic accounts for GE Power for large investor-owned utilities in the southeastern United States. Holmes was responsible for building executive relationships and creating new opportunities within the GE portfolio for key accounts. Through close customer partnerships, she drove growth and innovation across energy technologies including gas, steam, nuclear, and renewables.

Nicole’s GE career began in the nuclear business, where she held multiple leadership roles at GE Hitachi, including Chief Operating Officer of Global Nuclear Fuel (GNF), SVP of Supply Chain, and Quality Leader. Her more than 25-year energy industry career began in reactor engineering at Duke Energy. She held positions in power plant engineering and business operations with Duke Energy before joining GE.

Nicole earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering with highest honors from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of GE’s Lean Six Sigma Program and GE’s Management Course. She serves on the boards for the Strategic Energy Institute and the Energy Policy Innovation Center at Georgia Tech University, the World Nuclear Association, and the Cape Fear Salvation Army.

As Chief Technology Officer at Westinghouse, Lou Martinez Sancho leads the company’s global research and development portfolio and advances the company’s innovative product and services technology strategy – accelerating advancements in AI, Westinghouse’s AP300 Small Modular Reactor development and eVinci microreactor technology for the space and defense markets.

Dr. Martinez Sancho brings more than 20 years of experience to this role – having worked in senior leadership positions in the energy, biotech, automotive, and architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries. Most recently, Dr. Martinez Sancho was Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Kairos Power, with additional oversight of the Supply & Procurement and Marketing & Communications teams. Previously, she served as the Chief Innovation Officer of Spie Batignolles and Vice President of Global Innovation at Framatome.

Dr. Martinez Sancho graduated from Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain, and obtained Master of Science degrees in Physiology and Biomechanics from Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris VI University, as well as in Human Factors from René Descartes-Paris V University in France. Additionally, Dr. Martinez Sancho holds a doctoral degree in Public Health, Environment and Sustainability from Côte d'Azur University. Dr. Martinez Sancho is also Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certified by The Ohio State University in the United States.

Daniel Alejandro Álvarez Campos is the current Director General of Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mining for the Government of El Salvador and President of CEL, the country’s leading state-owned power generation company, under the administration of President Nayib Bukele. He has a distinguished career in business administration, project management in both the public and private sectors, and in the formulation and implementation of public policies aimed at developing the national energy sector.

His professional experience spans key areas such as private banking, municipal management, and power generation within state-owned companies. He began his career in public service as Planning and Urban Development Manager at the Municipality of Nuevo Cuscatlán, where he later assumed the role of General Manager. From this position, he led the execution of strategic projects, social programs, and the implementation of a management model that positioned the municipality as a benchmark for transformation in El Salvador.

In June 2019, he joined the Executive Hydroelectric Commission of the Lempa River (CEL) as Executive Director, and one month later he was appointed President of the institution. During his tenure, he promoted major institutional transformations, including the completion of the 3 de Febrero Hydroelectric Plant, the country’s fifth dam—an emblematic project that for years had been marked by allegations of corruption under previous administrations. As part of his commitment to transparency, he implemented, for the first time in the history of public institutions, an Anti-Bribery Management System under the ISO 37001 standard.

Álvarez has led strategic initiatives to strengthen the national energy matrix, notably the expansion of the geothermal park through the construction of new plants, as well as the promotion of the first electricity generation plant powered by biogas, aimed at reducing wastewater pollution originating from the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador. He has also fostered a favorable environment for the development of renewable energy projects, benefiting households, businesses, and industries throughout the country.

He is regarded as one of the main drivers of the transformation of El Salvador’s energy sector, promoting the modernization of the regulatory framework through the creation and strengthening of laws that encourage energy self-consumption and create attractive conditions for investment in the electricity sector. These actions have helped energize the energy market, diversify the energy mix, and consolidate a competitive and sustainable environment. Likewise, he leads efforts for hydrocarbon exploration in the country, opening a new strategic line aimed at strengthening national energy security.

In the field of energy innovation, he has been a key figure in advancing El Salvador’s nuclear program, achieving in record time the creation of the Nuclear Energy Program Implementation Agency and the approval of the Nuclear Energy Law. These actions lay the foundation for the development of technical capabilities, the training of specialized human talent, and the future construction of a nuclear power plant, with the goal of strengthening energy security and reducing dependence on external factors.

Through his leadership and strategic vision, he has represented El Salvador at international congresses, global forums, and high-level meetings with multilateral organizations, where he has presented the progress and transformation of the Salvadoran energy sector under the current administration.

As a global executive with multidisciplinary expertise, Mr. Edwards has redirected vision with a focus on creating value by simplifying business, delivering high-quality global services locally and executing a roadmap for growth that ensures financial resiliency, accelerates organic and inorganic growth, and creates value for shareholders. 

Lassina Zerbo is a distinguished diplomat and geophysicist specializing in the nuclear field, advocating for Africa’s role in addressing global challenges. As Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, he led initiatives to make energy safer, more affordable, and more accessible, laying the groundwork for an advanced nuclear reactor project.

Currently Chairman of the Board of the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB) and Energy Advisor and member of the Strategic and Policy Council in the Office of the President, Pr. Zerbo continues to promote nuclear energy innovation across the continent.

A United Nations International Gender Champion, he is also Executive Secretary Emeritus of the CTBTO, which he led from 2013 to 2021 (two terms). Under his transformational and innovative leadership, CTBTO established itself as a global center of excellence for nuclear test monitoring. In this role, Dr. Zerbo was accredited by ambassadors and permanent representatives from the organization’s 185 member states.

He is the President of the SScID Foundation, an independent “Think & Do Tank” contributing to research and debate on issues of Security, Science, Innovation, and Diplomacy, serving Africa’s transformation and the well-being of its populations.

As Chairman of the Executive Advisory Council for Africa at the American company Nano Nuclear Energy Inc., he works on identifying opportunities that Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) can bring to Africa’s transformation, and on defining winning deployment strategies for African countries.

He initiated the Science and Technology Conference cycle and scientific diplomacy forums, which, since 2011, have brought together more than 1,000 scientists, experts, academics, and civil society representatives from around 100 countries in Vienna every two years to discuss scientific and diplomatic issues related to nuclear test prohibition.

He co-chaired the Global Agenda Council (GAC) on Nuclear Security at the World Economic Forum, created to stimulate dialogue between international institutions and the private sector. Dr. Zerbo, a national of Burkina Faso, is fluent in English, French, and several African languages.

Nadia has over 20 years of professional experience in banking, portfolio management and financial analysis. Nadia was appointed to Managing Director of Impact & Partnerships in July 2024. I&P comprises of the following departments; Impact, Civil Society Engagement, Donor Partnerships Private Sector Partnerships, Nuclear Safety and Ukrainian Hub. Prior to being named MD, of I&P, Nadia held the role of Director, SME Finance and Development’s regional network from 2017-2024. The role covers all SME-related advisory and finance activities in all EBRD’s countries of operation. Previously Nadia led the EBRD’s agribusiness activities in Türkiye and the Caucasus. She has extensive experience in sourcing, structuring and executing private sector deals across all EBRD’s countries of operation. Nadia holds MSc of Finance from the University of World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Deeply engaged in the fields of nuclear power engineering construction and comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy. Participated in, witnessed, and promoted the construction and commissioning of China's domestic Gen-III nuclear power projects. Led the Haiyang Nuclear Power nuclear energy heating demonstration project, which was awarded the title of "National Energy Nuclear Energy Heating Commercial Demonstration Project" by the National Energy Administration. Pioneered high-quality development for nuclear power, contributing the strength of nuclear energy to the green and low-carbon advancement.

Since 2017, Bohdan has been Chief Nuclear Officer and Member of the Board of Directors CEZ, Czech Republic. He has broad experience in nuclear energy, in the operation of the CEZ fleet and in regulatory and international relations.

From 2008 to 2017, he held several management positions at CEZ Group and Temelin NPP.

He has taken part at many international activities and missions under umbrella of the WANO, IAEA or WNA, whilst also representing CEZ.

He is the member of WANO Governing Board and the Chair of the CNO Advisory Committee, member of the WNA Board of Management, member of the Nucleareurope management board, President of Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee of MVM, Hungary and Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee of Slovenske Elektrarne, Slovakia.

Boris Schucht has been the Chief Executive Officer of Urenco Limited since May 2019. Boris has amassed around 30 years of experience in the energy sector and has been dedicated to supporting measures to address climate change and the clean-energy transition throughout his 18 year career as an executive.

At Urenco, he is a proponent for supporting and evolving the global nuclear fuel cycle, which continues to play an important role in decarbonising the world’s energy supply. He also currently serves as a Director of the World Nuclear Association (WNA).

Before joining Urenco, Boris was the CEO of 50Hertz, the North-East German Transmission System Operator, for just under a decade. Simultaneously he served as a board member for respective organisations concerned with the energy transition, such as the German section of the World Energy Council.

Utilising his years of experience in infrastructure and regulated businesses, Boris has also sat on several supervisory boards as a non-executive, including the regional energy provider Stadtwerke Rostock AG and the Berlin Airport operator Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. He continues to sit on the supervisory board of airport operator Flughafen Wien AG, which runs Vienna and Malta Airport

Kim Lauritsen is OPG’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy & Growth. Kim is responsible for OPG’s corporate strategy development and new growth initiatives, including new nuclear growth and ensuring strategic alignment across OPG’s portfolio of subsidiaries. Kim sits on the Board of Directors of several of OPG’s subsidiary companies and is the Chair of PowerOn Energy Solutions. 

Kim has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, having worked across various parts of the value chain, in diverse geographies. Prior to joining OPG in 2019, Kim worked at Origin Energy in Australia, focused on commercial strategy and transactions, energy markets, renewable energy development and liquified natural gas projects. Prior to that, Kim worked at Shell in Europe, with a focus in finance, modeling and economics. 

Kim holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, a Master’s of Science in Renewable Energy Development from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from INSEAD. Kim is also a member of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) Strategic Advisory Committee. 

Eugene TOH is the Chief Commercial Officer, and Assistant Chief Executive of the Energy Technologies Division at Energy Market Authority (EMA). He leads the development and deployment of advanced energy technologies to support Singapore’s transition towards a secure, sustainable, and low-carbon energy future. He oversees initiatives to accelerate innovation and adoption of emerging solutions, including hydrogen, energy storage systems, carbon capture and digital technologies that enhance power system efficiency and resilience. Prior to this appointment, he was Assistant Chief Executive of the Corporate Services Division, driving organizational excellence and transformation, including enhancing the professional capabilities and capacity within EMA. Eugene graduated with a Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Carnegie Mellon University and a double first class Bachelor’s degree in ECE and Economics, with a major in Philosophy from the same institution in 2006. He completed the INSEAD MBA programme in 2014, and was awarded the Ford Prize, which is presented to the top student of the cohort. Appointed the Chairperson of a large charity Methodist Welfare Services in Sep 2023, he also seeks to drive initiatives that serve the needs of underprivileged individuals and families. As well as being an avid runner, Eugene is passionate about the arts and enjoys portrait drawing in his free time. Eugene is also the author of Eureka Moments for Leadership, a leadership book that distills real-world insights drawn from his journey as a practicing executive, offering actionable lessons for 
leaders at all levels.

He is a lawyer and energy expert who has been advising on investment projects in the field of energy production, including nuclear energy and renewable energy sources, and the use of hydrogen in energy and transport for almost 15 years. He was involved in working on key Polish energy projects, such as nuclear power, LNG Terminal, Baltic Pipe, Harmony Link, legal proceedings against Opal/Gazprom, and the introduction of the capacity market. Most recently, he served as vice-president of the management board of Orlen Synthos Green Energy. Wojciech Wrochna completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia. He studied at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and at the International University Institute in Luxembourg. He is an academic lecturer, author of articles on EU and energy law, and co-author of the commentary on the Treaty establishing the European Community and on Poland’s Energy Law. He also has experience of working for EU institutions, namely the European Court of Justice and the European Parliament, as well as the government, among others, as an advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Chan Hyuk Chun serves as a Member of the Board of Directors, Corporate Senior Vice President, and Chief Global Business Officer at Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). With more than three decades of experience at KEPCO, he has held a wide range of leadership roles across global business development, project finance, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and corporate management.

Mr. Chun earned an MBA (M.A. in Business Administration) from Seoul National University in 2018 and a B.A. in Agricultural Economics from Korea University in 1992.

Since joining KEPCO in 1992, Mr. Chun has built extensive expertise in international energy projects and business strategy. He currently leads the Global & Nuclear Business Division as Senior Vice President, a role he assumed in 2026. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of the Global Business Department (2024), Offshore Wind Business Department (2023), New & Global Business Development Department (2022), and KENTECH Project Department (2021).

Earlier in his career, Mr. Chun was Assistant Vice President of the Global Nuclear Project Department and Nuclear Project Contract & Finance Team (2019). He also served as General Manager of the Business Management & Improvement Team (2017) and the Affiliated Company Management Team within the Power Market & Policy Department (2015). His international experience includes serving as Director General of KEPCO's New York Office from 2012. Prior to that, he was General Manager of the Project Finance Team in the Overseas Project Development Department (2010), where he played a key role in advancing KEPCO's global energy investments.

Drawing on extensive leadership experience across conventional, nuclear, and renewable energy sectors, Mr. Chun is responsible for driving KEPCO's international business strategy and global growth initiatives.

King Lee is the Head of Policy and Industry Engagement at World Nuclear Association. Mr Lee lead the policy and strategic outreach activities of the Association, promoting nuclear energy by working with the nuclear community to engage with key policy makers and stakeholders on the important role of nuclear energy as part of the clean energy system for sustainable development. Mr Lee oversee the Association’s Working Groups to support industry to share, collaborate and define collective industry positions. He also represents the Association at international forums including leading cooperation with key international institutions, such as United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Clean Energy Ministerial and World Energy Council.

Previously, Mr Lee was Head of Nuclear Development at Lloyd’s Register, where he led strategic business development and provided technical and commercial oversight major nuclear projects in UK, China, Korea and UAE.

Mr Lee is the Chair of UNECE Nuclear Fuel Working Group and Vice Chair of UNECE Group of Experts on Cleaner Electricity Systems. Mr Lee was the Vice-Chair of the Energy Institute Process Safety Committee. Karl Thedéen is CEO of Studsvik, a global provider of advanced services to the nuclear power industry. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), where his thesis focused on nuclear safety at the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, Sweden. With a background spanning telecom, technology, and cybersecurity, including leadership roles at Ericsson, Transmode, and Outpost24 Karl brings a broad industrial and safety-driven perspective to discussions on the future of nuclear power.

Ricardo Moreno is Business Development VP, Commercial Director, and Deputy Director of Nuclear Engineering Services at EAG (Empresarios Agrupados - GHESA). He is a pivotal leader driving the intersection of traditional nuclear engineering and disruptive technology and digital tools. 

Throughout his 30-year international career, Ricardo has managed critical asset lifecycle phases for complex infrastructure, spanning from design and construction to operations. Specializing in optimizing project predictability within highly intricate financial environments, he is a staunch advocate for digital innovation as a cornerstone to fortify the supply chain and enable new project delivery models. His pioneering expertise in extended reality (XR), advanced simulation, and artificial intelligence provides the industry with the exact methodological solutions required to standardize processes and guarantee operational excellence across new nuclear deployments. 

Loren Jones is Senior Vice President of Amentum’s Energy & Environment International 
business, leading approximately 7,000 people across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Japan 
and Australia. He is accountable for the delivery of Amentum’s programmes in Nuclear
Energy, Environmental Remediation, Defence and Technology.

Loren has more than 20 years’ experience in the nuclear industry, spanning engineering, 
major programme delivery, business leadership and international growth. He began his 
career with Westinghouse’s nuclear fuels business before holding senior positions with 
Nuvia and becoming Managing Director of Hyde Group Nuclear. Prior to joining Amentum, 
Loren was a board member and International & Business Winning Director at Cavendish 
Nuclear (Babcock International Group), with responsibility for international operations and 
growth, including North America and Japan. He also served as Chair of the Northern 
Nuclear Alliance (NNA), representing and bringing together organisations across the 
nuclear supply chain to support growth, collaboration and development of the sector.

Since joining Amentum in 2022, Loren has held several senior leadership positions and 
today leads its Energy & Environment operations outside North America. His focus is on 
translating growing global investment in nuclear into deliverable, scalable and repeatable 
programmes

Mr. Anil. V. Parab (AVP) is Whole-Time Director & Member L&T Board (Heavy Engineering & Manufacturing). AVP is a distinguished alumnus from V.J.T.I., Mumbai (1982). He acquired Senior Executive Management Education from the London Business School & Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). He has studied a course in Computer aided Manufacturing from IIT Mumbai.

AVP is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE) since 2012. AVP is on board of research in nuclear sciences and Senate member of IIT Jammu.

Graham Henley was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) in 2023. He leads an organisation representing almost 100 member companies, advancing safety, efficiency and sustainability across the sector through technical guidance and best practice used by both industry and regulators. Before joining IOGP, Graham completed an international career with Shell that took him to the deserts of Oman, the frozen seas off Sakhalin, and the tropical climates of Nigeria, Malaysia and Brunei. He led Shell’s businesses in Syria before taking a short assignment as Vice President, Government Relations International. During his final decade with Shell, he held senior headquarters roles, first as Vice President responsible for a $35 billion portfolio of projects in execution across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and subsequently leading the company’s global engineering and projects functions. From 2018 to 2023, Graham served on the IOGP Engineering Leadership Council, which brings together heads of engineering from leading IOCs and NOCs, completing a four-year term as Chair. He has been a member of the IOGP Board since 2019. Graham is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and serves on the Board of Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL).

María Vega holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cantabria. She is Green Belt certified and completed the Senior Business Management Program (PADE) in 2015. She joined Equipos Nucleares S.A. (ENSA) in 1996 and has developed her entire professional career within the nuclear industry. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions in project management, business development, and operations, and currently serves as Vice President of Operations. Since 2016, she has been President of the Nuclear Industrial Cluster of Cantabria (CINC), where she promotes collaboration across the nuclear supply chain and supports the competitiveness and international growth of the sector. She has also led and coordinated multi-company industrial consortia in strategic projects. In addition, she serves on the Boards of Directors of ENWESA Operaciones S.A., S.M.E. and AIE Enusa-Ensa. A highly experienced professional in the nuclear industry, she brings more than 30 years of expertise in managing and delivering complex projects for the global nuclear sector.

Gary Wolski is Vice President, Nuclear with the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, where he has worked for the last 30 years in business development and leadership roles focused on the global civil nuclear power industry. Today, Gary is responsible for strategy development and execution to maximize Curtiss-Wright’s participation in the development and long-term support of the global new nuclear energy market.

Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Gary served in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power program, supported the U.S. Department of Energy’s mission at Hanford in Nuclear Power Operations at the Fast Flux Test Facility, and Maintenance Engineering at Tank Farms and the Effluent Treatment Facility. Gary served six charters on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee (CINTAC) where he functioned in leadership roles including Chair, Vice Chair, and Subcommittee Chair. He recently completed five years as Chair of the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) Supplier Advisory Committee and is a past chair of NEI’s Trade Advocacy Subcommittee.

Callum Thomas is founder and CEO of Thomas Thor, the global leader in Nuclear for Leadership Search, Recruitment, Staff Augmentation and Workforce Consulting. He is also the Chair of the Talent and Workforce Development Working Group for the World Nuclear Association. He works with leaders in the nuclear sector across the world to build the teams needed to deliver on the growth ambitions over the coming decades.

Grégoire Ponchon is a Civil Engineer of the “Ecole Nationale des Ponts et 
Chaussées” and has more than 30 years of experience in the industrial sector. 
He began his career in the Internal Audit Department of the Renault Group before 
joining the Internal Audit Department of the Areva Group in 2002. 

Between 2007 and 2016, he held positions of increasing financial responsibility, 
serving as Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the La Hague plant and subsequently of 
the Recycling and Installed Base and Instrumentation & Control business units of 
Areva. Appointed Chief Financial Officer of Framatome in 2017, he was named Chief 
Executive Officer and member of the Management Board in June 2020, while 
continuing to serve as Chief Financial Officer. 

Since June 2025, Grégoire Ponchon has served as Chief Executive Officer of 
Framatome. 

Mr Loyiso Tyabashe is the Group Chief Executive Officer of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa), appointed in January 2021. He is a professional engineer with over 20 years technical and leadership experience in the nuclear industry. 

He started his engineering career in the automotive industry where he worked as a Production and a Design Engineer. Thereafter, he joined Eskom’s nuclear business, working in various strategic roles in Engineering, Operations, Maintenance Planning and Execution, Internal Oversight, and Project Management. His final assignment at Eskom was leading the nuclear new build project, a role which also saw him being part of key advisory structures of the South African Government’s nuclear build programme. He worked closely with key stakeholders in the Eastern Cape, Sarah Baartman District and Thyspunt where there were plans to site the nuclear power project. 

In the course of his career, Mr Tyabashe has acquired vast global nuclear experience from the leading international nuclear organisations such as Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) through participation in various energy- and nuclear-related programmes and as a participant in global panel discussions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Cape Town (UCT), as well as the Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) qualification from UCT’s Graduate School of Business. 

Ms. Melina Belinco is President of Women in Nuclear Global (WiN Global) and a strategic
advisor with 20 years of experience in international cooperation and project management in
the nuclear sector. With a career rooted in Argentina’s nuclear industry and extensive
international experience, she brings a strong understanding of the technical, institutional,
and human dimensions shaping the sector.

Her professional experience includes leading and coordinating complex international
cooperation initiatives, managing multi-stakeholder projects and partnerships from strategic
planning and resource mobilization through implementation and delivery. She has
contributed to more than 230 IAEA Technical Cooperation projects, working with
governments, international organizations, technical institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Her expertise spans workforce development, leadership, strategic communication, and
international partnerships, with a focus on building the skills and institutional capacity
needed for the future nuclear workforce. She is an IAEA expert in leadership development
and strategic planning.

A former IAEA Fellow, World Nuclear University mentor, and university lecturer, Melina
combines hands-on project management experience with a global perspective and a strong
track record of building effective partnerships. As President of WiN Global, she leads a
global network of more than 60 chapters, with an active presence in over 145 countries,
advancing a resilient and plural nuclear sector

Prashant Rao is the Global Managing Editor at Semafor, where he oversees all international coverage as well as the organization's climate and energy reporting. Prior to Semafor, he was International Editor at The Atlantic, ran European business coverage at The New York Times, and was Iraq Bureau Chief at AFP. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Dr. Lola Infante is Senior Programme Lead, Economics and Finance at the World Nuclear Association.   

Previously, Dr. Infante was Portfolio Director, U.S. DOE Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) at Management Solutions, LLC. where she managed a $192M contract that provided support, guidance, and advice to OCED. Before that, among other roles, she worked in the U.S. at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) as Executive Director, Government and External Affairs and at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) as Sr. Director, Clean Energy Technology and Policy.  

From 2018 to 2024, Infante was a member of the U.S. DOE Electricity Advisory Committee where she chaired the Energy Storage Subcommittee. During that time, she was also a member of ESIG’s (Energy Systems Integration Group) Board of Directors.  

Dr. Infante holds a PhD with Distinction from the Johns Hopkins University, an MA in Energy, Environment, Science and Technology also from Johns Hopkins University, an MA in International Economics and Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Sciences Po Paris, France. 

Luba Kotzeva is an NED at NTR plc, a clean energy and transition fund manager and investor and the Founder and CEO of Etara Partners, an advisory firm focused on the power, utilities and infrastructure sector. Luba was previously EMEA Head of Power, Utilities and Energy Transition and EMEA co-head of Infrastructure & Utilities for Deutsche Bank and before that was in leadership roles at Lazard (3 years) and Rothschild (22 years).

Luba has over 27 years of M&A, capital raising and sovereign advisory experience and a long legacy of advisory experience across all forms of power generation, transmission, distribution, water and waste utilities and particular niche in sovereign nuclear advisory.

Elsie Pule is a seasoned Human Resources executive and human capital thought leader with more than three decades of experience across the full HR value chain, primarily within the energy sector. She has held senior leadership roles at Eskom and the South African Revenue Service, where she led major human capital, talent management, leadership development, skills development, and HR transformation initiatives.

Her leadership experience includes serving as Skills and Talent Management Executive, HR Shared Services Executive, Human Resources Group Executive at Eskom, and Chief Human Resources Officer at the South African Revenue Service. She also served as a Lecturer at the University of Pretoria, spearheading the delivery of Psychology in the English medium for the first time in the history of the institution. She has also served on several utility, subsidiary, pension, and professional boards, including Eskom Transmission, Generation, Distribution, Eskom Finance Company, Eskom Rotek Industries, the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund, and the Institute of People Management.

A committed advocate for women’s advancement and gender-inclusive workplaces, Elsie has spearheaded groundbreaking programmes that contributed to Eskom being recognised as the Most Gender-Empowered Organisation for several consecutive years. Some of her accolades include Africa/India HR Leader of the Year in 2011, Standard Bank Top Female in the Public Sector in 2018, and Lifetime Achievement Award of the Eskom Women Advancement Programme in 2023.

In 2024, she served as President of the International Atomic Energy Agency Knowledge Management and Human Resource Development Conference, and in 2026, served as an international expert for the Interregional IAEA Human Resource Development Course. She is currently Director of Special Projects at Rosatom Central and Southern Africa and Head Coordinator of the BRICS Nuclear Platform.

Joe St. Julian joined AtkinsRéalis as President of Nuclear on April 1st, 2022. He is based in Houston, Texas and reports to Ian L. Edwards, President and CEO. As President of the global Nuclear sector, he is responsible for continuing the successful expansion of the nuclear business comprised of three primary growth regions around the world. Mr. St. Julian’s oversight also includes the design and delivery of CANDU® reactors, the development of advanced fuel technologies for implementation in international markets and small modular reactor (SMR) support. Joe St. Julian brings 30 years of senior leadership experience with a diverse background in construction, project controls, project management, strategic planning and commercial management in the Nuclear sector in addition to the oil and gas, power, civil and government sectors. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and an excellent track record of building businesses and delivering operational excellence. Prior to joining AtkinsRéalis, Mr. St. Julian spent seventeen years with Bechtel where, over the years, he worked on key projects for the U.S Department of Energy to remediate and decommission nuclear facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and at the Waste Treatment plan in Richland, Washington, a $20 billion nuclear waste processing facility. Prior to joining Bechtel, he worked for companies such as The Shaw Group Inc. and H. B. Zachry Company. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kenyon College.

John led consumer and competition regulators in Ireland and the UK. He chaired the International Competition Network and sat on the OECD Competition Committee for 12 years. He has served on Boards of Innovate UK, UK Research and Innovation. and the Center for Economic Policy Research. He advises the Australian government on competition and regulation. Fingleton, the strategic regulatory company he founded in 2013, advises business leaders across all sectors of the economy. In 2025, he led a Task Force on Nuclear Regulation for the UK Prime Minister.

Sama Bilbao y León is Director General of World Nuclear Association and also President of World Nuclear University. She has more than 20 years of diverse experience in nuclear engineering and energy policy; having worked with distinction in industry, academia and having held high level positions at OECD/NEA and IAEA. Sama holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Energy Technologies, as well as a  master's degree and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics and an MBA . Sama is one of founders of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). 

Mikal Bøe is a senior maritime executive with over three decades of experience, spanning roles from floor to board level in shipping, finance, and technology. As Founder and CEO of CORE POWER, Mikal plays a key role in developing and deploying a new generation of nuclear reactor technologies for marine applications. Before founding CORE POWER in 2018, Mikal served as Chief Risk Officer for two large publicly listed ship-owning groups in the US and Asia over the preceding decade.

Nisha Pillai is an accomplished former BBC World News presenter who specialises in moderating Panel Discussions and High Level Dialogues. She works with UN agencies, scientific institutes like CERN, and at conferences in the Energy, Finance and tech sectors.

Nisha’s 25 year career at the BBC culminated as one of the main news anchors at BBC World News, where she reported extensively during the 9/11 attacks and the Iraq war. She was also one of the first regular interviewers on Hard Talk. As an award-winning investigative journalist at Panorama, the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme, Nisha had notable investigations to her name. She was awarded the Royal Television Society’s Award for her investigation into the late Robert Maxwell, which was broadcast a month before his death. Nisha cut her teeth as a financial journalist at the Investors Chronicle and on the BBC’s Money Programme. She read economics at the London School of Economics and has an abiding interest in economics.

Tim Gitzel was appointed chief executive officer of Cameco on July 1, 2011. 

Tim joined Cameco in January 2007 as senior vice-president and chief operating officer. He was subsequently appointed president on May 14, 2010. 

Tim has extensive experience in Canadian and international uranium mining activities through more than 30 years of senior management and legal experience. Prior to joining Cameco, he was executive vice-president, mining business unit for Orano, based in Paris, France with responsibility for global uranium, gold, exploration and decommissioning operations in 11 countries. He also served as president and chief executive officer for Orano's Canadian subsidiary. 

Tim was born and raised in Saskatchewan, graduated from the College of Arts & Science and the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 1990. He served as a lawyer with the firm MacPherson, Leslie and Tyerman in Saskatoon. 

Tim currently serves on the boards of the World Nuclear Association, Washington-based Nuclear Energy Institute, the Business Council of Canada and The Mosaic Company. He is a member of the IAEA’s Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Energy, as well as the advisory councils for the Canada-India Business Council, the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and a Saskatchewan Polytechnic President’s Circle member. As well, Tim serves as Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan to Saskatchewan and is Co-Chair of the Kazakhstan Canada Business Council. 

He is past chair of the World Nuclear Association, past president of the Saskatchewan Mining Association, and has served on the boards of Mining Association of Canada, the Canadian Nuclear Association, Sask Energy and the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce as well as a former member of the Edwards School of Business advisory council. Tim was co-chair of the Royal Care campaign raising funds for the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon and served as vice-president, communications for the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships. 

Tim is recipient of the 2024 Saskatchewan Polytechnic Honorary Degree.  He was named 2023 Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year, 2023 Northern Miner Person of the Year and is recipient of the 2023 International Juran Medal from the American Society of Quality. He was named one of the 100 Alumni of Influence from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, is a recipient of the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal and of both the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Platinum Jubilee Medals. 

Sama Bilbao y León is Director General of World Nuclear Association and also President of World Nuclear University. She has more than 20 years of diverse experience in nuclear engineering and energy policy; having worked with distinction in industry, academia and having held high level positions at OECD/NEA and IAEA. Sama holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Energy Technologies, as well as a  master's degree and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics and an MBA . Sama is one of founders of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). 

Dr Kaajal Desai is Senior Programme Lead, Fuel Cycle at World Nuclear Association. She is the Staff Director of the Fuel Report Working Group which develops and publishes the biennial World Nuclear Fuel Report. This report presents an industry view of global nuclear capacity demand scenarios along with supply availability of uranium, conversion, enrichment and fabrication. The report also considers secondary supply of these components of nuclear fuel.

Dr Kaajal Desai has over twelve years’ experience in the nuclear sector, specialising in the front end of the fuel cycle with roles in industry and international organisations. She holds a PhD and a First Class (Hons) MEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College, London.

Scott Moe was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in the 2011 provincial election in the constituency of Rosthern Shellbrook. He was re-elected in 2016. He was elected Leader of the Saskatchewan Party on January 27, 2018, and sworn in as Premier of Saskatchewan on February 2, 2018. 

Premier Moe was born and raised on a grain farm between Shellbrook and Parkside. He and his wife Krista currently reside nearby in Shellbrook. He was educated at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. 

He has previously served as Minister of Environment, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Corporation, and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Security Agency. 

Premier Moe's priorities include a focus on increasing Saskatchewan's exports to create opportunities for people and further grow Saskatchewan's economy. To this end, he created the Ministry of Trade and Export Development with a mandate to sustain and develop relationships with Saskatchewan's current export customers and place an increased emphasis on diversifying our markets worldwide. 

He has made it a priority to engage with current and prospective trading partners around the world to advocate for Saskatchewan's export industries. Saskatchewan supplies much-needed goods and commodities such as food, fuel and fertilizer to over 150 countries.

Toru MATSUDA joined The Kansai Electric Power Company, Inc. (Kansai) in April 1994 and spent several years in nuclear fuel planning and contracts at its head office in Osaka, Japan.

From 1999 to 2001, he was seconded to the World Nuclear Association (WNA) in London as a Visiting Research Officer, and from 2017 to 2019 he served as Head of Administration at Kansai’s Takahama NPP.

Shortly after taking up the position of General Manager, Nuclear Fuel Contracts in July 2023, Kansai restarted all seven reactors that comply with the new regulatory standards established following the Fukushima Daiichi NPP accident, meaning that Kansai has come back to the nuclear fuel market. He is currently responsible for all related contracts from the front end to the back end.

A distinctive aspect of his career is that he has also spent several years in the Human Resources (HR) division; therefore, he strongly believes that “at the end of the day, it is people who do business!”

Dastan Kosherbayev is the Chief Strategy and International Development Officer and a member of the Management Board at NAC Kazatomprom JSC, the world's leading producer and supplier of natural uranium. In this executive capacity, he drives the strategic direction, investor relations, and global development initiatives of the national atomic company.

Mr. Kosherbayev has built a comprehensive career within Kazatomprom since 2016. He has served in several high-level leadership positions, including Head of the M&A Section, Deputy CEO at the mining joint venture KATCO, Director of the Sales Department, and Chief Commercial Officer. His diverse background bridges the gap between commercial uranium marketing, joint-venture mining operations, and macro-level corporate policy. Mr. Kosherbayev earned his degree in Business Management from Hult International Business School (United Kingdom) in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Nazarbayev University in 2022.

Luc Van Den Durpel graduated in 1989 as civil engineer and nuclear engineer from the University of Ghent (Belgium) where he also obtained his PhD on nuclear energy systems analysis. He initially conducted research at the Nuclear Research Center in Belgium as nuclear engineer, operations manager for research reactors and program manager for advanced nuclear energy systems.

He joined the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency in Paris (France) in 1998 to conduct international studies on advanced nuclear energy systems and specifically the technical economic aspects of (advanced) nuclear energy systems, their fuel cycle and waste management.
Early 2002, he joined US-DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory (ANL, US) in the context of Generation-IV, SMRs and specifically nuclear energy system scenarios.

In March 2009, he became Scientific Director and International Expert at AREVA NC’s Corporate Research and Innovation Directorate and from October 2011, he became Vice-President Strategic 
Analysis and Technology Prospective at AREVA’s Corporate R&D. 

After leaving AREVA in March 2015, he launched the nuclear advisory firm Nuclear-21. He is member of the Scientific Council of CEA (France) and chairs the French/European Association on 
Nuclear Maritime Applications NEUMAR.

His personal interests are focused on the technical and financial challenges in transitioning towards sustainable energy systems and thus the positioning of nuclear energy in such futures.

Cécile Evans is Marketing Director at Orano, where she leads strategic development initiatives to create growth opportunities across Orano’s back-end and New Nuclear activities.

With over 20 years of experience at Orano, she has held positions across both the front-end and back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle, with expertise spanning operations, industrial planning, sales and marketing.

She brings extensive knowledge of the nuclear industry and international experience in nuclear fuel cycle strategies, spent fuel management, radioactive waste management, and decommissioning.

She is Chair of the Used Fuel Management Working Group of the WNA.

Steve Long is Chief Executive Officer of Global Laser Enrichment, the exclusive licensee of SILEX laser enrichment technology and developer of the Paducah Laser Enrichment Facility in Paducah, Kentucky. Under his leadership, GLE has achieved TRL-6 validation for the world's only third-generation enrichment technology and submitted its NRC license application for a multi-billion-dollar production facility. He previously served as SVP of Strategy and Business Development at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, where he built the partnerships that positioned the company in the emerging small modular reactor and advanced nuclear fuel markets. He began his career as a Submarine Warfare Officer and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Engineer in the United States Navy, serving eight years operating naval nuclear power plants at sea. Steve holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Jason Murphy has worked at Constellation for the last 26 years and is currently the Vice President of Nuclear Fuels, where he is responsible for all commercial and technical aspects of the fuel cycle from procurement to core design and safety analysis to used fuel management. Jason spent the first 19 years of his career at the Peach Bottom and Limerick stations where he held various leadership roles in Engineering, Operations and Reactor Engineering. In 2019 he joined the corporate Nuclear Fuels department, and in 2021 he was promoted to his current role.

Philippe Bordarier is President and CEO of Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO), Finland’s leading nuclear power company and the operator of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland. He assumed the role in December 2025 and leads a company that plays a critical role in Finland’s energy system and security of electricity supply. Dr. Bordarier holds a Ph.D. in Physics and brings more than 25 years of international experience in the nuclear energy sector, holding various senior positions in the French Nuclear Regulator, in nuclear operations in France and the United Kingdom, and in nuclear new build projects, in the United Kingdom, Finland, Poland and the Netherlands. Prior to joining TVO, he served as a senior expert at the Dutch energy company NEO-NL. In addition to his responsibilities at TVO, Philippe serves as Chairman of the Board of Posiva Oy, the Finnish company responsible for the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel and the  development of the ONKALO® deep geological repository

Sama Bilbao y León is Director General of World Nuclear Association and also President of World Nuclear University. She has more than 20 years of diverse experience in nuclear engineering and energy policy; having worked with distinction in industry, academia and having held high level positions at OECD/NEA and IAEA. Sama holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Energy Technologies, as well as a  master's degree and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics and an MBA . Sama is one of founders of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). 

The Honorable David A. Wright was appointed as a Commissioner of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission by President Donald J. Trump on July 27, 2025, and is serving a five-year term ending June 30, 2030. Commissioner Wright previously served on the NRC Commission as both a Commissioner and Chairman from May 2018 to January 7, 2026. Before joining the NRC, Commissioner Wright served as an energy and water consultant and policy advisor on nuclear waste issues. He is a former president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners and served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the South Carolina Public Service Commission. He was also elected councilman and mayor in Irmo, S.C. and to the South Carolina House of Representatives. 

A colon cancer survivor, Commissioner Wright is an advocate for cancer awareness and education. He is a proud father and grandfather and has enjoyed umpiring baseball for nearly 50 years. He is a graduate of Clemson University. 

After having worked as Director at the Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) since 2015, Marco Brugmans, was appointed as member of the Board (Vice Chair) in 2017. In 2023, Dr. Brugmans was appointed Vice Chair of the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) and since 2024 he chairs the ENSREG SMR taskforce. Licensing is part of his portfolio.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Brugmans worked as a researcher in radiation protection and in radiotherapy. He was trained as a radiation protection expert. Dr. Brugmans has an academic background in technical and experimental physics.

Mr. Tiippana was born in Joensuu, Finland, on 11th July, 1972. He completed his studies of power plant engineering with a Master of Science degree at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in 1997. Mr. Tiippana joined the Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in May 1996 and has had various positions at STUK during his career. From August 2013 he was appointed as the Director General of STUK - Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority, until February 2029.

His career history includes active participation in the work of the OECD/NEA, the IAEA and EU. He is the chair of WENRA.

Pierre Tremblay began his term as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) on August 12, 2024. Mr. Tremblay is an accomplished leader with over 40 years of experience in nuclear engineering, security, operations, maintenance and management, including most recently as President of AECOM Canada Nuclear Services Inc. He served as Chair of the CNSC’s Departmental Audit Committee from 2017 to 2023, providing advice and recommendations on our organization’s internal audit functions, frameworks and processes for risk management, control and governance. This role underscored his proven commitment to regulatory excellence and his support of our mandate to regulate the use of nuclear energy and materials to protect health, safety, security and the environment.

Mr. Tremblay began his career as a trainee engineer with Ontario Hydro (now Ontario Power Generation), where he rose through the ranks to become Chief Nuclear Operating Officer, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the nuclear fleet, achieving significant safety improvements. He subsequently served as President of Canadian Nuclear Partners (now Laurentis Energy Partners Inc.), where he led trade missions to China, South Korea and India to create new opportunities for Canadian nuclear companies and their supply chains.

His international experience as a nuclear advisor, instructor and peer evaluator demonstrates his commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering global collaboration. Mr. Tremblay is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and was an active member of the Canadian Nuclear Society, the Canadian Nuclear Association, and the American Nuclear Society, where he held the prestigious position of Chair of the Education and Training Division. He was also the former Governor of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (now Ontario Tech University), Chairman of the Board of Governors of Durham College, and President of the Canadian Red Cross, North York Branch. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University.

Dr. Sangmin Park is the Senior Vice President at HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., leading the development of next-generation eco-friendly ships. His work focuses on hydrogen and ammonia-fueled ships as a mid-term solution and fuel cell and SMR nuclear-powered ships as a long-term strategy for sustainable maritime propulsion. Dr. Park serves as a member of the Board of Directors (BOD) at NEMO (Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization), where he plays a pivotal role in establishing international standards and navigating regulatory frameworks for the adoption of nuclear power in the maritime sector.

Since joining the HD Hyundai Group in 2003, he has been actively involved in the development of various ship types and offshore plants, including LNG carriers, FSRUs, and FLNGs, as well as onshore and offshore oil & gas production facilities. He also contributed to the design of offshore FPSOs. From 2011 to 2013, he conducted deep-sea oil & gas plant research in collaboration with European research institutions at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Dr. Park has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field. He received the Top 10 Mechanical Technology Award in 2017 and was honored with the Engineer of Korea Award in 2019.

His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chungnam National University (2001), a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University (2003), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Process Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (2019).

Malcolm Moore is the Financial Times's Energy Editor. Based in London, he leads global energy coverage and reports on the largest energy companies, markets, technology and geopolitics. Previously he was Head of FT Edit, he ran the FT's UK news and Technology desks and was a a foreign correspondent in Italy and China.

Adrian Anderson is the Senior Vice President, Global Energy at Equinix, where he leads the Global Power team. Adrian has worked at the intersection of hyperscale and energy for the last decade, with energy innovation roles at Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. Prior to his work in hyperscale energy procurement and strategy, Adrian spent more than a decade in the energy development and origination. At Microsoft, he served as a Partner, General Manager for Wholesale and Carbon-Free Energy Procurement as well as the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) program, overseeing all global wholesale energy and carbon-free electricity programs as well as leading the development of the first of a kind CDR program. Recent notable accomplishments, the Constellation/MSFT Crane Clean Energy transaction, the Brookfield 10 GW Clean Energy Collaboration, the ~12 GW supply chain initiative with Hanwha Qcells, and the Arcadia and Pivot Energy distributed solar portfolio transactions.

As Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, Dr Ben Reinke acts as the head of corporate-wide business development activities at X-energy. He oversees analytics, customer relationship development, contract negotiations, capture management, and early-phase project management. He also provides strategic direction to X-energy’s end-to-end project deployment model, from customer origination right through to project delivery. 

Ben’s leadership, management, business development, and policy experiences span the private sector, both the legislative and executive branches, and academia. Prior to X-energy, Ben was Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy of the US Department of Energy. As senior policy advisor to the Secretary, he spearheaded high-priority energy initiatives and led an interdisciplinary team of experts in crafting long-term, cross-cutting departmental strategies. He has also served as majority professional staff on the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources – working as the chief architect of key legislation.  

Ben holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in nuclear engineering, as well as a B.S. in physics and French from the Ohio State University, where he was a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow and a Nuclear Regulatory Commission Fellow. 

Greg Schulze is a Project Design Advisor for ExxonMobil Global Projects Company and is serving as the inaugural Chair of the Industrial Advanced Nuclear Consortium. The Industrial Advanced Nuclear Consortium is an end user driven community that aims to promote an integrated nuclear and industrial facility using principles of open architecture, modularization, and standardization to provide heat and power to the industrial user in a cost competitive and predictable manner.

In Greg’s current role at ExxonMobil, he is leading efforts to understand the role nuclear could play to provide the heat and power needed in ExxonMobil’s facilities and operations. He’s previously held roles in Innovation, Operations, Business Development, and Engineering.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Greg was a Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the USS HAMPTON (SSN 767) and was an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Auburn University. He has since retired from the Navy Reserves with over 21 years of service. Greg has a bachelor degree in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M, and a master of mechanical engineering from Auburn University.

Jeffrey Miller is Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at TerraPower, where he leads strategic partnerships and business development for the Natrium and TerraPower Isotopes programs. He brings more than 20 years of nuclear industry and government experience spanning advocacy, strategy, policy, and program management. Previously, Miller established Centrus Energy’s Japan office, where he led business development, advocacy, and relationship management across Japan and Asia.

In addition, he worked for Battelle Memorial Institute at DOE’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory where he managed radiation detection deployment projects in seaports and land border crossings throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Miller holds a B.A. from Muhlenberg College, studied at Waseda University in Tokyo, and earned a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

Fabio Montemurro, Amazon Web Services, Principal – Energy Strategy & Innovation. Fabio is a technology and energy leader with more than 20 years of experience across R&D, strategy, business development and commercialisation. In his current role, Fabio looks after Strategy & Innovation in the AWS Energy & Water team for the EMEA region. He is responsible for identifying and developing innovative energy projects, technologies and partnerships that support scaling AWS in service to its customers. Fabio has previously held roles in BP, Airbus, and as an energy consultant. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London, an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Pisa, and executive education degrees from MIT and Cambridge University.

Johan Svenningsson serves as CEO and Country Chairman of Uniper Sweden since 2015. He holds the positions of CEO, COO, Chairman, Deputy Chairman and member of Boards of Directors across major Swedish energy and nuclear power groups and plants, including Sydkraft AB (Nuclear, Hydro-power and Thermal-power sections), the Swedish Nuclear Waste Management Company, and the Oskarshamn, Barsebäck, Ringhals and Forsmark nuclear power plants. He also is Governor in the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), chairs WANO Paris Centre as well as a board member in the World Nuclear Association (WNA).

Johan was previously CEO of OKG AB, deputy CEO at the Swedish Technical Research Institute AB, and he held different management positions within Westinghouse and ABB Nuclear and Pharmadule Emtunga. He also is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Swedish Energy Industry Employer Association. Johan holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Chalmers Institute of Technology, Sweden).

Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, M.V.O., MBA is Chief Executive Officer of the Sustainable Markets 
Initiative, a global organisation that mobilises the private sector to put sustainability at the 
heart of global value creation.

His Majesty King Charles III, a champion of sustainability for over 50 years, launched the 
Sustainable Markets Initiative (when he was Prince of Wales) in 2020.

From 2018 to 2023, Ms. Jordan-Saifi served as Assistant Private Secretary to The King 
covering foreign affairs, the Commonwealth, and supporting His Majesty’s sustainability 
leadership on the world stage. In this role, she established the Sustainable Markets Initiative, 
developed its guiding mandates, the Terra Carta and Astra Carta, and its storytelling 
platform RETV.

Working for the Government of Canada (2008-2018), Ms. Jordan-Saifi led on a wide range 
of foreign policy priorities and initiatives, including United Nations Strategic Policy and 
Reform and as negotiator for the Sustainable Development Goals. From 2000-2008 she
served with the ICRC, the UN, international/local NGOs and as a journalist in the Middle 
East building local capacity to enable social enterprise, market development, and 
community-based design.

Mr Velaphi Ntuli is the Chief Nuclear Officer at Eskom Koeberg Power Station and has over 24 years of diverse experience in the energy industry. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of 
Pretoria, a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Stellenbosch and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Physics, Engineering and Safety of Nuclear Power Reactors) from the University of Witwatersrand. Some of his responsibilities include ensuring that Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant operates safely and reliably and preparing Eskom for nuclear new build programme. Mr Ntuli has extensive experience in developing and implementing plant performance improvement strategies. He spent over two years at the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) as a Technical Manager based in Atlanta, USA. During this period, he qualified as an Equipment Reliability lead reviewer and has conducted technical performance assessments and support missions at various nuclear power plants around the world including Japan, Belgium, China, Romania, Ukraine and the United States of America.

Mr Ntuli has led many multinational and multidisciplinary teams in executing complex projects and some of his achievements include:

• Development and implementation of the integrated emergency response plan for 
nuclear power plants in Canada, China, Mexico, Romania and South Africa.
• Successful construction of the first industry scale Battery Energy Storage System 
(BESS) in the Western Cape.
• Development and implementation of the Interim Grid Capacity Allocation Rules 
(IGCAR) in collaboration with various stakeholders in the Renewables energy 
sector. The rules introduced the principle of first-ready, first-served thereby minimising 
hogging of the limited grid capacity.

Mr Ntuli is also very passionate about identifying and grooming talent to ensure that there is a 
capable generation of future leaders and technical experts.
